I go outside and feel God’s luminary of the day shining sunny light into my darkness and chaos. I sit by my
swimming pool and feel as if I am sitting by the waters of the wells of salvation.
I hear the birds before I see them. I marvel at the chirping songs that have been sung since the first bird was born. I saw a double rainbow this year, reminding me doubly of God’s promise not to destroy the entire earth again by flood. These bows remind me of Noah who listened to God even though corruption was the norm in his generation.
Noah walked with the God. So too must we walk with God during these days which can be very dark indeed. One only has to read the media headlines to see all the corruption and perversions and evil on the earth. One only need read one victims story to feel deep heartache and grief.
Let us then, each of us, help build a spiritual ark, connecting our souls. Our wood will be our wholeheartedness in serving God. Our tools will be our trust in God Eternal and faith in God Creator. Our provisions are filled by our persistence in learning God’s Ways.
Who knows? You could be the righteous person in our generation who tips God scales of justice with a grain of kindness. Then God's Mercy will fill the wells and those who are spiritually thirsty will find God's Salvation.
Just bring your own cup and a pair of biblical binoculars.
