The Birth of TiptoeNearly three decades ago on a restless night, I turned, like people have done for generations, to the Torah for hope and guidance. What a difference the original text made! The words were so powerful and poetic.
At the time I was reading to my toddler son Torah stories. I wanted something more authentic for him so I began to read him the original text, adapting it as I went. Not only was that hard, but the text was sometimes confusing. So I began to adapting the Torah with the goal of bringing out the best of the original text with clarity, brevity and meaningful for adults and children. Tiptoe Through The Torah has since evolved into several adaptations.
