The Birth of Tiptoe

On a restless night during a difficult moment in my life, I turned, like so many people have done for generations, to the Torah for hope and guidance. What a difference the original text made! The words were so powerful and poetic.

At the time I was reading to my toddler son Torah stories. I wanted something more authentic for him so I began to read him the original text, adapting it  as I went. Not only was that hard, but
the text was sometimes confusing.

So I began to adapting the Torah with the goal of bringing out the best of the original text with clarity and brevity. I wanted these eternal words to be a meaningful way for children and adults to connect with the Torah and with each other.

Tiptoe Through The Torah has since evolved into several adaptations, including this one.

May Tiptoe Through The Torah be a source of light and blessing in your life.
